Electrical, mechanical and renewables, without three systems and three logins.
An M&E contractor carries more compliance than most: BS 7671 and fire alarm on the electrical side, F-Gas on the mechanical, and MCS if you install renewables. This is all of it on one system, with one job number running through it.
Combined from £299 a month, plus HVAC and MCS together from £99 — cheaper than buying the two add-ons separately.
Two add-ons, bought together, cost less than they do apart.
MCS and HVAC are the two that an M&E contractor tends to need at the same time. Bought together they are cheaper at every band and on either term.
MCS installer QMS
Built to Installer Operating Requirements 2.0 — the 2026 issue, not the archived one. Nine technologies, the capacity limits enforced, and the Technical Supervisor’s competency checked at the moment of certifying rather than on a register that expires quietly.
HVAC and F-Gas
Refrigerant register with CO₂e computed from the charge and the GWP, leak-check intervals from the band, the mandatory re-test within a month of a repair, cylinder log.
The certificate deadline, enforced
MCS gives you 30 calendar days from commissioning to issue the certificate. That date is generated from the commissioning date and cannot be set to something more convenient.
One job number
The electrical certificate, the F-Gas check and the MCS installation all hang off the same project, so the handover pack is assembled rather than hunted for.
Certificates, projects, jobs and money.
Everything in the Combined plan, before either add-on.
Seven certificate disciplines
BS 7671, BS 5839-1 fire alarm, BS 5266-1 emergency lighting, BS 7346-8 smoke ventilation, BS EN 62305-3 lightning protection, security systems and solar PV — each to its own standard, with QS sign-off.
Projects
One number from enquiry to final account. The standard folder tree, drawings issued to site with a pin-comment viewer, OneDrive or SharePoint behind it.
Applications for payment
By percentage or amount per item with retention, CIS on labour, domestic reverse charge, statements and automatic chasers, and a two-way Xero connection.
Variations and take-off
Variations recorded when instructed, not when priced. Quantities counted and measured straight off the drawing, against your own price list.
RAMS, COSHH and training
The evidence an ISO or CHAS assessor asks for, recorded as the work happens rather than assembled the week before.
Rail, if you need it
Safety Critical Hours, Sentinel, fatigue and RISQS CORS preparation are a separate add-on. The rail page covers it.
